Come along on Saturday the 7th of September to the Cordis Hotel to hear Professor Jim Richards present findings of his biomechanical research into Patellofemoral Pain, ACL rehabilitation and knee osteoarthritis


DJO Global 2019 research update


Professor Richards’ research includes much work on clinical application of biomechanics, the development of new assessment tools for chronic disease, conservative and surgical management of orthopaedic and neurological conditions, and development of evidence based approaches for improving clinical management and rehabilitation. The focus of Professor Richards’ work is to encourage inter-professional research and to develop direct parallels with research to the ‘real world’ of allied health work.




Recent advances in clinical subgrouping and targeted interventions for people with Patellofemoral pain.


Demonstration of a new app to allow clinical subgrouping in people with Patellofemoral pain.


New ways of assessing to inform the treatments of dynamic knee instability.


What can we do for people 2 years+ after ACLR?


What can we do for knee OA patients who do not want, or who are unsuitable for surgery?


New evidence on clinical effectiveness of non-surgical management.
